Glasbo - A New Music Performing Group

Glasbo is a new-music performing group based on Los Angeles, founded by bass player Dean Wallraff, who provides arrangements for the group. The focus is on new music, folk, jazz, and improvised music.

We are looking for a viola player and guitar player to round out the core group.

Director

Dean Wallraff is the Director and Founder of Glasbo. He also plays bass guitar in the group.

Dean plays piano and played trumpet in the Tucson Symphony between 1967 and 1973. As a faculty member of the M.I.T. Experimental Music Studio he was an active composer of computer and electronic new music starting in 1976. He has composed and produced a dozen scores for dance works created by Benita Bike. After moving to Los Angeles in 1990, he has scored five feature films. He took up the bass guitar and founded Glasbo in 2019.
